Digital Marketing and Business Consultant

The first half of Mark’s career from 1996 to 2006 was spent in the ICT industry. Initially starting out in I.T. support roles for the South Australian government , he then transitioned to the private sector. The transition saw him working for an IT service provider, providing network engineering and IT consultancy services to numerous businesses in South Australia, working as an IT Consultant and Team Leader (looking after the team of systems engineers in SA and WA). The company for which he worked was sold to the Telstra Group, which changed the culture of the business, which resulted in Mark seeking other business opportunities.

 Stepping away from the ICT industry to start up a business in the Web Industry in 2007, Mark started Techmark Digital, an Internet Marketing and Web Development company. Being self-employed, he was able to look at other opportunities and in 2010 co-founded an online food ordering business, EatNow ( He sold a majority stake to Catch of the Day in 2013 which then merged with its major competitor , Menulog, at the beginning of 2015. Subsequently, the merged company sold in mid-2015 for AUD$855 million.

After the sale of EatNow, Mark returned to focusing on Techmark Digital and growing the original web company he founded. Taking on a business partner in late 2015, he has overseen Techmark Digital expand its digital marketing offerings to include strategic services such as online brand enhancement, online reputation management and strengthening mainstream digital marketing services, such as Social Media Marketing, Search Engine Optimisation and Marketing, as well as Electronic (Email) Direct Marketing.

With a keen interest in basketball and a background in business, technology and digital marketing, Mark is confident his skills and experience will play a valuable role for both The Dream Basketball Academy and the players it signs.
